| Alpha Galactosidase is a purified enzyme preparation manufactured by a unique fermentation process from a selected strain of Aspergillus niger. This enzyme is capable of breaking the 1-6 carbon bonds found in legume sugars. These sugars, namely raffinose, stachyose, and melibiose, are not digestible in the small intestine. They, in turn, enter the large intestine where they are fermented by microbial flora, producing gas, bloating, pain, and general discomfort. |
