Systemic Enzymes are enzymes that pass through the intestinal tract and are delivered throughout the circulatory system to various cells and tissues in tact.  Systemic enzymes are also considered metabolic enzymes, in that they help regulate thousands of bio-chemical reactions throughout the body.  Most systemic enzymes are proteases (also called proteolytic enzymes,) which regulate protein function and help digest those proteins that are no longer needed in the body.

Systemic enzymes have been proven to support healthy inflammatory responses, cleanse the the blood of accumulated debris from cells and tissue, bolster the immune system, dissolve scar tissue and break-down foreign proteins in the blood.  In vitro studies also show promise for systemic enzymes’ effects on viral, bacterial, and fungal invaders.

Exclzyme-2AF, Serracor-NK and Peptizyme SP are systemic enzyme supplements.
